I actually noticed this café while I was walking over to brunch in Alphabet City. Saltwater Coffee is an Australian coffee shop with very interesting latte combinations! They have turmeric lattes (also called golden lattes) as well as various charcoal lattes, such as vanilla or chai.
One of the great things about this shop is that they have a variety of milks for those who are vegan or lactose intolerant. I have a friend who is allergic to dairy and she was able to get a turmeric latte with oat milk!

Their charcoal lattes are not actually on the menu so if they are something you want to try, you would have to let them know specifically. I ordered the vanilla charcoal and a matcha doughnut.
They have three tables, a bench, and a window-counter seating so it’s pretty cozy. They do have free WiFi so there are people who stop by and work or study in the afternoon. If you’re visiting NYC and need a quick place to charge up your phone and use the WiFi, this is the perfect pit stop!
