One of the local favorites for breakfast is Clinton Street Baking Company. Located on East Houston Street and Clinton Street, they recently expanded into the corner space so now the wait time is nowhere near where it used to be – the first time I came here for brunch I waited in line for almost two hours!

They have a solid breakfast and brunch selection but the one reason I frequent here for breakfast is their “Pancake Month”. Every year, for the entire month of February, they have a dedicated special pancake for every day of the month. You can find their entire calendar menu here.
A few of my favorites:
- Blueberry Yuzu Pancakes: Served with a yuzu curd, vanilla bean whipped cream, yuzu syrup, and shortbread crumble, it’s a great balance between tart and sweet.
- Blackberry Pancakes: Served with fresh blackberries, blackberry crumble, blackberry syrup, warm maple butter, and whipped blackberry fool (which I’ve learned is another way of saying “whipped cream”), it’s not too sweet and is probably my favorite one so far.
- Triple Berry Pancakes: Served with fresh blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries and Meyer lemon curd, raspberry sauce, and vanilla whipped cream, the Meyer lemon curd is pretty amazing and paired well with the vanilla whipped cream.
