After spending Konigsdag in Amsterdam (you can read all about that particular adventure here), I went on a brief trip to Belgium and came back to spend the rest of my stay in the Netherlands. There’s a lot to see and explore outside of Amsterdam, especially in the spring! For example, Keukenhof, one of the world’s largest gardens, is only open for 8 weeks from April to May. My last day trip in Belgium before heading back to Amsterdam was spent visiting Ghent and Bruges. Most people tend to visit only Bruges but I figured I could squeeze in another town to enjoy with Bruges. Leuven is a Flemish university town not too far outside of Brussels. After receiving extremely precise directions from a kind man who saw me wandering around lost, I reached the University Library and Bell Tower of Leuven.
