There are other (perhaps) less popular areas that allow you to enjoy the city without being constantly bombarded with people. Barcelona: Tourist Edition

Barcelona: Tourist Edition

There are so many tourist sights in Barcelona that the four days we spent in the city were not enough to enjoy all of them! However, I did compile two lists: one for the main sights that we were able to complete and one that went off the beaten path. Handy Tips

Handy Tips

Here are some tips on Barcelona that might be helpful!

1. Getting to and from Barcelona Airport to the City Center

Barcelona Airport Express Buses:
Single ticket: €5,90
Return ticket: €10,20

Barcelona Airport only has two terminals – if you are going to the airport from the city center, Aerobus (A1) goes to Terminal 1 and Aerobus (A2) goes to Terminal 2. The city center bus stop location is at Plaça de Catalunya. The buses stop directly outside the El Corte Inglés department store and there are usually staff members around to ask for assistance should you need any. Make sure you end up in the correct queue! Now they make it very clear and I have outlined the details below. Continue reading “The Wonders of Alhambra”

The Land of a Thousand Castles

TRAIN:
Sevilla Santa Justa to Granada
Travel Time: 3h 25min
Total: €90,45
Total per person: €30,15

Famous for Alhambra, it is a city filled with Islamic architecture, monumental churches, teahouses, street graffiti, and old-school tapas bars. There is a lot to experience in Granada and while most are enticed mainly by Alhambra, I would high recommend exploring the city like we did because it’s a great way to experience and taste the eclectic culture that is Granada.
