I realized recently that I tend to eat breakfast at a lot of Australian spots. I grew up in Los Angeles so the ingredients they use and dishes they serve are so similar to what I ate back home – I guess my subconscious is telling me I’m homesick?!

An Australian-style coffee and café, Bluestone Lane a great place to grab breakfast (or brunch) with a properly-done flat white. They have several locations and I’ve been a few times for lunch in the DUMBO location but this was my first time going for breakfast! One of the local favorites for breakfast is Clinton Street Baking Company. Located on East Houston Street and Clinton Street, they recently expanded into the corner space so now the wait time is nowhere near where it used to be – the first time I came here for brunch I waited in line for almost two hours!
